Bali starts opening borders

SPECIAL TOURISM ARRIVAL VISIT VISA TO SUPPORT SUSTAINABLE TOURISM IN BALI DURING PANDEMICFrom March 7 Visit Visa on Arrival will be issued for the passport holders of the 23 countries below.

- Brunei
- Thailand
- Vietnam

Visitors need at least 6 months validity of the passport, get 30 days initial stay that can be extended one time to maximum 60 days only. No extensions possible. Must have a return or onward ticket withing the validity of this visa.
Visitors on VOA can not convert their visa to a another visa or stay permit onshore at all. (so not to a B211 long stay or a Kitas)
Conditions apply to adhere to health protocol during the pandemic.

Bali / Lombok open for tourists in September?
Well, we all have seen articles and rumors pass by our screen, hinting, that Indonesia will re-open for tourism on September 11th.
Well, those articles and post are exactly that, rumors and hints. No official press release has been shown to the public that this will actually happen.
On the upside, since immigration is allowing VOA to be extended up to the 10th of September. There is reason to believe that Indonesia MIGHT re-open it’s borders. But my advise would be to hold of with booking that ticket until it has been made official.

NEW VISA REGULATIONS ( DURING PANDEMIC )

Visa Exempt – Free visa
No extension possible, you have to exit BEFORE August 12 2020.
VOA – extended already or not !
Get monthly extensions until pandemic is over.
ITK – Social visa
Get monthly extensions until pandemic is over.
Some local offices seem to deny extensions for people who used their extensions already, remind them that it is possible to extend !
ITAS / ITAP
Expired ones get monthly extensions until imigrasi can process their regular extension.
ITAS / ITAP – expired with no extension possible
No extension, get EPO and need to leave before August 12 2020
D212 – Business Multiple Entry
Get monthly extensions until pandemic is over.
APEC
APEC card expired, you need to leave before August 12 2020

Even with a valid APEC card, you need to leave before August 12 2020. This is confirmed by BALI and LOMBOK Kanim.
- Extensions cost 500.000 IDR
- Visa with sponsors need to bring a letter from their initial sponsor AND a copy of their KTPm. For businesses ALSO their company papers are required.
